for many of us.. there’s always first time for everything, including painting the house.
here in holland, painting your own house will cost you hundreds euro, in particular if you use professional worker. thus, for those who have limited budget, the best way is painting by yourself.
yesterday, friends of mine renovated their new house, including painting and wood flooring. me.. the amateur-and-first-time-experience-painter helped them. i managed to finish one room, yet don’t ask about quality. i just hope they like it. overall, it was fun (and tired of course..) as you can see from these pictures.

satu bulan berlalu setelah novel pertama kami, Negeri van Oranje, terbit. berbagai macam respon yang timbul, mulai dari yang positif, negatif, histeris, senang, bangga, terinspirasi, berguna, bikin pengen ke belanda, kasihan, hingga cuek bebek, membuat kami merasa senang. kerja keras selama berbulan-bulan kemarin seperti tidak terasa. bahkan ibu saya, tak hanya rebutan membaca dengan adik namun dengan lempeng-nya berkomentar: “a.. hidup kamu di belanda ternyata susah yah? huahahaha…” *gak kok mah.. tenang aja*
